Islamic Society and Cultural Center of Hyde Park, Inc. (“ISCCH,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the ISCCH website at iscch.org collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
This policy covers the website only. The ISCCH mobile application is covered by a separate policy available at iscch.org/privacy-policy.
1. Information You Provide to Us
Contact Form
When you submit the contact form, we store the name, email address, subject, and message you provide, along with your phone number if you choose to enter one. We also record the IP address the submission came from and the date and time it was received.
This information is stored in our website database and is used to read and respond to your message. A notification containing your submission is also emailed to our staff.
Newsletter Subscription
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the name and email address you provide, along with your phone number if you choose to enter one. We also record the IP address the subscription came from and the date and time you subscribed.
Our newsletter list is held in our own website database. We do not currently transfer subscriber information to an external email marketing platform. Emails are delivered through a mail delivery service acting on our behalf.
2. Why We Record IP Addresses
We record the IP address associated with contact form and newsletter submissions to help prevent spam and abuse, and to enforce limits on how many submissions can be made from a single address in a given period. We do not use IP addresses to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites.
3. Automated Technologies and Third-Party Services
Google reCAPTCHA
Our contact and newsletter forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which helps us distinguish genuine visitors from automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and behavioural data from your browser and sends it to Google for analysis. This happens on pages containing our forms, whether or not you submit them. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Website Analytics
We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are most visited and how people arrive at the site. This service may set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view. We use this information in aggregate to improve the website.
Donations
Donations are processed by MOHID, an external donation platform. When you choose to donate, you are directed to MOHID’s website or an embedded MOHID form. Any payment details, billing information, or donor account information you enter are collected and handled by MOHID, not by ISCCH, and are subject to MOHID’s own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Hosting and Server Logs
Our website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. Like most web servers, our host automatically records limited technical information for each request, such as IP address, browser information, request timing, and diagnostic or security logs.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our website may set cookies for essential functions such as maintaining a session, and third-party services described above — including Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA — may set their own cookies.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the website function.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
The website does not require visitors to create an account. We do not collect payment card details, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

- To protect our forms and website from spam, abuse, and automated attacks
- To understand how the website is used and to improve it

7. How Long We Keep Information
We keep contact form messages and newsletter subscriptions for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. We have not set a fixed retention period. If you would like your information removed, contact us using the details below and we will delete it unless we are required to keep it by law.
8. Your Choices
- Unsubscribe. You may ask to be removed from our newsletter at any time by contacting us.
- Request deletion. You may ask us to delete a contact form submission or your subscriber record.
- Request a copy. You may ask what information we hold about you.
- Cookies and analytics. You may block cookies in your browser or use Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the information handled by our website, including spam protection, submission rate limiting, and standard server security practices. However, no internet or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children’s Privacy
The ISCCH website is a general community and religious-information website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will remove it.
